SUGGESTED NOMINEE FOR THE SPEEDSKATING HALL OF FAME

“CONTRIBUTOR TO THE SPORT”

The Hall of Fame Committee will consider nominees who have made noteworthy contributions to the sport of speedskating in a non-skating capacity at the National or International level.

The candidacy of each nominee will be judged on the nominee’s record, ability, integrity, sportsmanship and character.

A nominee to the Speedskating Hall of Fame must meet the following minimum qualifications*:
1. The nominee must have made a significant impact of the sport at the National and/or International level for a period of at least 15 years.

2. Activities may include serving as an Officer, Official, Committee Member or Chairperson, Team Leader, Manager, Coach or service in promoting speedskating development.

All service, as above, must be measurable and documentable through sources such as news clippings, programs, official speedskating publications, minutes of organizational proceedings or other official documents. Qualified applications will be considered for 5 years and may be resubmitted if there are any additional supporting qualifications.
